Dr Samuel C Boone

Lecturer in Geology
University of Sydney, School of Geosciences

I am a geoscientist working to better understand Earth’s dynamic evolution by studying the thermal and tectonic history of the crust in relation to the growth and breakup of continents. To do this, I integrate field observations and structural geology with low-temperature thermochronology, geochronology, geochemistry and numerical modelling techniques.

I am a member of the EarthByte Group, work closely with the Melbourne Thermochronology Research Group and the University of Adelaide Tectonics and Earth Systems Group, am on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Geological Society of London, and am the AuScope Geochemistry Network Platform Architecture Advisor.
